Amber Lewis currently does Digital and Social Media for the City of Detroit and Mayor Mike Duggan. She gained vast experience in communications and media through her prior roles as Events, PR, and Social Media Coordinator for Pure Michigan, and as Advertising Executive for Mootown Creamery.
A lifelong Detroiter, Amber is a recent Michigan State University almuna where she studied Advertising Media and Management with a minor in Spanish. As a student, she gained experience in international advertising by participating in the Advertising and PR a la Mediterranean program in Rome, Italy. Before graduating in May of 2015, she helped develop an advertising campaign for Habitat for Humanity of Michigan.
Amber is a passionate community activist, advocate, and leader. Her commitment to Detroit inspired her to return to her hometown to work, live, and inspire others. Amber is active in numerous professional organizations including Detroit Young Professionals and CLUBHAUS.
She lives by the motto "She believes she can so she does."
